Inside The Office

What’s the part of your job you love most (that might surprise people)?

Talking to a lot of different people is pretty sweet. Leading our client entertaining program, I'm probably supposed to be a gatekeeper of information, but I'll gladly chat it up with anyone who wants to know about what's in the works. Handling both internal and external programs means I get to learn, collaborate, and build relationships with a lot of different departments and clients alike.

Can you share a moment when your work really made an impact?

In general, bringing in-person events to life from planning to execution is so fulfilling for me. In a time where so many things are accessible online, it feels great to create and build things in physical spaces for people to experience.

What’s your favorite adtech buzzword, and one you’d love to retire?

Not necessarily adtech specific, but I cannot stand when people say they want to "stand this up" in regards to a project. All of us are sat.

If your career had a tagline, what would it be?

The pursuit of fulfillment and satisfaction in a non-linear way.

What advice would you give someone joining #TeamCognitiv?

There are so many smart people here doing interesting things both in and out of the office. Make sure your job description includes learning about the people around you.

‍

‍Outside The Office

What’s one unusual thing about you that might surprise coworkers?

I sang in my high school choir all four years. My friends dragged me into it, but I ended up having so much fun. I built a ton of core memories from that experience that I still think about very often.

If you could have any superpower for a day, what would it be?

I feel like talking to animals would be perfect. You get to hear what they think and talk back to them, BUT it might get just annoying enough that you're ready for it to be done once the day is over. If you pick flying or running fast, you're gonna be real upset when that 24 hours is up.

‍What’s your go-to comfort food or guilty pleasure snack?

Bone-in lemon pepper wings with some ranch. I'll pass on those chicken nuggets or whatever they're called!!

If you could take a year off to do anything, what would you do?

There are so many things. Play sports, learn languages, make new sandwiches, figure out how the subway was built, the typical stuff.

What’s a favorite memory that always makes you smile?

I just turned 30, and while visiting my family, my sleeping arrangement consisted of the floor of my 11-year-old niece's bedroom. We're moving up in life.
